Growing up has never been easy. But for girls today, the obstacles to a healthy, happy adult life can seem overwhelming. Mothers, how can you help your daughters find their place in our sexually open, socially networked world; a world where traditional gender roles seem to shift every day?
Cassandra Wind, owner of Wind Touch Healing, believes the wisdom of our ancestors can help. She invites you to Eyes Wide Open, a mother/daughter retreat the weekend of October 29 ~ 31, 2010. Cassandra will reconnect women of all ages to time-honored ceremonies and rituals that various cultures have used to help girls become women of strong mind, body, and spirit. Cassandra believes those rituals, so important for past generations, can be adapted to our society today.
Mothers and daughters (ages 11 and older) who attend Eyes Wide Open Retreat will revisit traditions like the circle of women. Cassandra will lead sessions that explore women’s emotions, relationships, self-awareness and health. And they will have hands-on-experience learning meditation, self massage, aromatherapy, dance and even self-defense.
